Syrian Kurds will defend Syria against Turkish Aggression

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The National Initiative of Syrian Kurds strongly denounces the statements of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his threats of infiltrating the borders in northern Syria under the pretext of pursuing Kurdish activists affiliated with the Kurdistan Labor Party.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Initiative warned the Turkish government of any tampering with Syrian sovereignty or any military or security breach of border areas.

The statement affirmed that Turkey has been blatantly aggressive against Syria's people, state and leadership since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, attempting to recreate the Benghazi model and adopting it in some border areas under the pretext of creating safe havens, buffer areas and humanitarian passages,

The Initiative stressed that Turkey has been providing all forms of logistic support – including weapons, headquarters and equipment – to the armed terrorist group and the external non-patriotic opposition, all under the instructions of Israel, the US and the west, adding that Turkey was also involved in sabotage and the destabilization of security and stability in Syria alongside Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

"Kurds, as an essential component of the great Syrian people, will defend Syria's northern side, turning these areas into a graveyard for the Turanian Turkish army… we will teach the neo-Slejuk-Turanian Erdogan and his criminal gangs and fascist army – which have been carrying out genocide and massacres against more than 25 million Kurds – a lesson they will never forget, and we will make the ground shake beneath his invading hordes before they sully a single grain of Syria's sacred soil," the statement concluded.

Kurdish Popular Committees: Syria Will Become a Graveyard for Any Invader... the Threats of the Ottoman Erdogan are Irresponsible

Kurdish popular committees in Syria said that Syrian lands will become a graveyard for any invader that considers attacking Syria, and that the entire Syrian people with all its components will stand in the face of such an aggression no matter the price.

In a statement issued on Friday, the committees said that the threats issued by the Ottoman Recep Tayyip Erdogan – who dreams of spreading Ottoman influence across the region with the aid of the Arab Gulf, Israel and the US – are irresponsible, and that he will be defeated like all his ancestors before him who committed massacres against Syrians.

The committees called upon rational and honest Turks to put a stop to Erdogan who has become a danger to Turkey's security and neighboring countries and exposed himself as a pawn in the hand of Israel who carries out US-western colonialist agendas.

The statement concluded by pointing out that the repercussions of any aggression will spread to the entire region, including Al Saud and Al Thani who will not be protected by the colonialist military bases in their countries.

Both Sana.sy and Syriaonline.sy under Cyber Attack

On the evening of July 24, 2012, not only the Main Syrian News Agency Sana.sy was once again unreachable, but now another website that brings Syrian news from the perspective of the government was also under cyber attack and thus unreachable: syriaonline.sy

This is modern day war fare: knocking out the TV stations and their accompanying websites, in order to prevent the people in the world to get an antidote against the Arab-Western Propaganda campaign against the government of Syria.

Luckily these website do reappear occasionally making it possible to copy some of their articles to other blogs, like this one.

Israel sets fire to various areas of Golan-heights, Syria and uses it to dump nuclear, chemical and industrial waste

DAMASCUS, (SANA)_The Ministry of State for Environment Affairs called upon the world public opinion and upon concerned environment organizations to confront the aggressive practices of the Israeli occupation authorities in the occupied Syrian Golan, which aim to deplete its resources.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry said that the Israeli occupation is deliberately causing fire in Ein El-Tineh, al-Shita, al-Hamidieh, Bir Ajam, Breika, Kodneh and al-Rafeed, adding that the fire burned thousands of acres of oak trees and plenty of rare plant species.

The statement indicated that the Israeli occupation has uprooted thousands of apple and cherry trees in Golan for Israeli military purposes, displaced Syrian citizens, buried nuclear, chemical and industrial materials in the land and deprived the Syrian citizens of their right in investing their lands and properties.

The ministry underlined the importance of putting pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to abide by the Golan-relevant resolutions and refrain from exploiting its natural resources or any measures that could harm the environment.

Foreign Ministry: Chemical and Biological Weapons Are Secured and Would Only Be Used in the Case of External Aggression

Jul 23, 2012

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Monday stressed Syria's stance that any chemical or biological weapons will never ever be used during the crisis in Syria notwithstanding the developments inside the country.

A statement by the Ministry, read by spokesman Dr. Jihad Makdissi in a press conference, said that such weapons stocks are secured and directly monitored by the Syrian Armed Forces and would only be used in the case of external aggression on the country.

The Ministry made clear that it has followed with concern the proceedings of the political and media campaign directed against Syria, stressing that this campaign aims at justifying any possible military intervention on Syria under the false claim that Damascus is using weapons of mass destruction and preparing the international public opinion for such an intervention.

"The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry has previously declared the content and details of this stance to countries which expressed concern that unconventional weapons would reach a third part," the statement added.

The Ministry, at the same time, warned of "another matter of concern" regarding the possibility of supplying the terrorist groups in Syria with arms from abroad in light of "the increasing bankruptcy".

It said the aim of such possibility is "to hit the political system in Syria through using tactical bombs or mines containing biological substances that would explode somewhere in a village and then accusing the Syrian forces of doing that."

The statement reiterated the Ministry's stress that this systematic political and media campaign will not at all avail to help Syria overcome its crisis.

The Ministry admonished those countries claiming concern for Syria and the Syrians "to spare their efforts and negative media campaigns to persuading those who they back, host, fund and arm to abide by a political solution to the crisis" according to the plan of the international envoy Kofi Annan.

British Forces training Militants to fight in Syria

The British newspaper Sunday Express revealed that former soldiers from the SAS of the British Special Forces are training Syrian terrorist groups "in Iraq in military tactics, weapons handling and communications systems".

According to a British Army source, the newspaper said in an article published on Sunday that " More than 300 have passed through a base just inside the Iraq border, while a command course is run in Saudi Arabia."

The article added that "Groups of 50 rebels at a time are being trained by two private security firms employing former Special Forces personnel."

"Our role is purely instructional teaching tactics, techniques and procedures," the newspaper quoted a former SAS member as saying.

"If we can teach them how to take cover, to shoot and avoid being spotted by snipers it will hopefully help," he added.

Although Reuters talks about helicopters, correspondents in Damascus from RT weren't able to confirm this. Would this indeed be another attempt to discredit the Syrian Forces?

Take a look at this movie below: these are the kind of people that are supported by the western civilized countries (video taken from Syrian Documents, July 21, 2012) - the ultimate symbol of true democracy and sensible negotiation. It reminds me more of the dark ages.

Wild bunch of Various Nationalities hold the Bab al-Hawa border between Turkey and Syria

some opec-members at a meeting in 2007 - perhaps the Bab al-Hawa border looks
a bit like this now with all these saudi, UAE militants fighting against the Syrian people

A group of around 150 militants from Arab, Islamic and African countries are being stationed as of Saturday at Bab al-Hawa border crossing point between Syria and Turkey which was closed off by Syria since June 2011, in full sight of the Turkish authorities.

According to a photographer from Agence France Presse (AFP), around 150 militants from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, France, Chechnya, Tunisia and some African countries are stationed on the crossing point.

He reported that a number of the militants said that they belong to Taliban, while others said they're members of Al Qaeda's branches in Maghreb countries, adding that the militants are armed with AK-47 rifles, RPG launchers, and handmade mines.

It should be noted that the Syrian Arab Army killed terrorists of various Arab nationalities during their clearing of al-Midan and al-Qaboun neighborhood.

In June, New York Times reported that CIA agents stationed in Turkey are supersizing the delivery of weapons to the Syrian opposition, while many terrorists admitted in televised confessions to smuggling weapons from Turkey to the armed terrorist groups in Syria.

UPDATE JULY 28, 2012: Syrian Forces have taken back control the Border Crossing which is nearest to Aleppo, at Bab Al-Hawa. It cannot be a coincidence that troops took over the border crossing and a while later a large offensive by militia was started in Aleppo. For more see (2, 3)

Syrian people warned against ‘fake TV channel’

At a time when Syria's newssite Sana.sy is again unreachable, as is Thierry Meyssan's Voltairenet.org,  we must do everything within our might to present information that is not biased by western-gulf-arab media. Fortunately there is still the Iranian Press TV and Russia's RT that can still be reached. Here's a copy of an article from July 21, 2012 warning the Syrian people of a fake TV-channel. The original of this story can be found at: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2012/07/21/251984/syrians-warned-against-fake-tv-channel/

------------------

The Syrian Information Ministry has cautioned the nation against a “fake” satellite channel which carries the logo of the country’s national TV but has actually been set up to broadcast anti-government reports.

At the moment a fake channel is broadcasting Syrian national songs as well as its national anthem to lay the ground for broadcasting the programs that their nature is clear, the ministry said in a statement.

It issued the warning after armed terrorists kidnapped Mohammed Saeed, a broadcaster of the Syrian television, in Jdeidet Artouz area of the capital Damascus.

The ministry also warned that it is possible that the Syrian national TV is taken off air any moment and replaced by the fake channel.

Syrian officials had previously warned about an intensifying media campaign and spread of rumors against the Damascus government.

Syrian Satellite channel Dunya TV, which has played a key role in disclosing different plots against Syria, has been taken off air from Arab satellites of Arabsat and Nilesat.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011, with demonstrations being held both against and in support of President Bashar al-Assad's government.

The Syrian government says outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorists are the driving factor behind the unrest and deadly violence while the opposition accuses the security forces of being behind the killings.

Damascus also says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country and the security forces have been given clear instructions not to harm civilians.

In a statement posted on his page on the net, Gatilov added that the Americans have done nothing towards urging the opposition to hold dialogue with the Syrian government, in comment on random accusations made by the U.S. Permanent Representative to the Security Council Susan Rice out of anger over the Russia-China veto against the Western draft resolution on Syria.

Gatilov: Russia to Vote for a Pakistan-Proposed Draft UN Security Council Resolution on Extending Observer MissionEarlier, Gatilove announced in a statement to the Russian Interfax news agency his country's support to a draft resolution proposed by Pakistan at UN Security Council on extending the observer mission in Syria for 45 days.  Gatilov said that Russia will support the draft resolution which is to be put to the vote on Friday as it has participated in preparing it along with the Pakistani partners. The draft provides for extending the mandate of the UN observer mission 45 additional days after it expires on Saturday.

Russian Foreign Ministry: Russia' Stance on Crisis in Syria Has Not Changed for a Moment
Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday called on the Western countries to do something to persuade the armed opposition in Syria to step onto the path of a political solution instead of making crude insinuations about the firm Russian stance. In a press conference published on Russia Today website, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Alexander Lukashevich, warned of the consequences of the US plans to surpass the Security Council and interfere in Syria's internal affairs.

He stressed that Russia has no backed for a moment throughout the course of the crisis in Syriafrom searching for a political settlement.  The Russian spokesman strongly criticized the statements of some European officials who considered that the recent terrorist attack in Damascus stresses the necessity of further pressuring the Syrian leadership because it has made the situation reach that far.

He rejected the Western accusations against Russia, saying that the attempts of some Western countries to make Moscow seem responsible for the situation in Syria as "absolutely unacceptable".

Lukashevich warned that the US's announcement of its intention to work outside the Security Council and interfere in Syria's internal affairs constitutes "a very very alarming signal".

"If such declarations and such plans are elements of actual policy, I think that is a very, very alarming signal to all of us about how the international community plans to respond to international conflict situations," said Lukashevich.

He added that the task of all external players, particularly the Security Council members, is to use all their capabilities and work within the resolutions previously agreed on, specially resolutions 2042 and 2043, and what was agreed on at the Geneva meeting.

Lukashevich Rejects US Threats against Russia over Veto on Syria
In another context, Lukashevich stressed Russia's rejection of US threats of taking revenge over the Russian veto against the Western draft resolution on the crisis in Syria.  He criticized measures taken by the U.S. Congress to prevent the Pentagon from cooperation with the Russian Aporns Exports company in a bid to take revenge on Russia because of its veto at the Security Council, dismissing the threats of imposing sanctions on Russia as unacceptable. He stressed that taking revenge on it because of the veto or its principled stance on peaceful settlement to the crisis in Syria and placing the responsibility for escalation on it will not avail.

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) website on Saturday was attacked by foreign sides which try to prevent the Syrian national media from conveying the truth of events and unmasking the conspiracy hatched against Syria.

After the failure of several attempts to hack the website and publish fabricated news on it, foreign sides targeted the website with a distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack).

In the same context, anonymous sides stole SANA logo from the website and designed an advertisement in English and Arabic that includes provocative calls and distributed it through email.

On June 27th, an armed terrorist group attacked al-Ikhbariya Satellite TV Channel headquarters, destroyed it and stole its equipment before blowing it up.

SANA website is a multi-lingual website. It publishes news and articles in seven languages: English, French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish and Arabic.
